P.S.

As I mentioned before, the language in my "showbiz" experience was Spanish.

One day not too long ago, I was playing golf with a woman originally from Puerto Rico. I casually remarked that at some time as a young girl (age 10, 11, 12??), I had recited a powerful poem on stage about an unhappy man named Garrick (pronounced Ga-REEK in Spanish). My golf friend was well read in Spanish, but had no recollection of the poem. Later, I started to search the internet and discovered that there was a renowned English actor named "David Garrick", but it was not what I was looking for.

I was so disappointed, but I continued the search. I modified my search and typed in, "Garrick en Espanol", and lo and behold, there appeared the poem that I had memorized and performed so many years ago.

I remember that it was very dramatic and intense, but I actually did not understand the words. As I now read the text, I remember Mother telling me to give it a lot of "garbo", which means gentility, elegant carriage, grace. The title is REIR LLORANDO, which is like "Laughing on the Outside, Crying in the Inside", a very moving piece of work written by a famous Mexican poet, Juan de Dios Peza.

Upon finding this treasure, I shared it with my golf friend who immediately recognized it, had I just remembered the title!

For anyone who can read Spanish, this is a treat!!!
